I am not a hipster..

I just realised how hipster my music collection is... I like very little that is still wildly popular, and I just started listening to Sufjan Stevens again.

Recently I have been chiefly listening to Sufjan Stevens, Pink Floyd and y' know... That indie-folk band that I keep going on about.

One of my favourite songs is Concerning the UFO Sighting Near Highland, Illinois. Warning: It's weird. I can't find a studio version without lyrics or a weird fan-made video, but I think it's on Spotify.

Ciao now!

stuff

This update will be interesting.

Well, I don't know that, I just hope it will ^_^

Well, here I am, the lovely Admin Pippin. Just gonna update you on mah life as a music listener, and stuff.

I'm still chiefly listening to these guys:

Yeah, surprise surprise... Mumford & Sons.

But what is quite cool is I found a picture of them with my favourite actor xD

Now, keep scrolling for something very special, and my music that I shall share with you todayyyy

Yes, I have seen the Hobbit. I saw it on the 13th, the day it came out in mah country. I wore my green coat, with is like the one Bilbo is wearing in this picture............ this guy sitting by me referred to me as a "Lord Of The Rings Fan". Understatement or what.
I can almost feel you staring at the computer screen like: "If Admin Pippin dares to spoil it or even mention soundtracks I will bite her finger off."

Now, please don't be all like:

"Admin Pippin, give us a break!! All you ever talk about are y' stupid soundtracks"

Now, I would love to give you the version of  Over The Misty Mountains Cold that Richard Armitage (Thorin) sings, but I couldn't find a decent version, so I have found you Forth Eorlingas from The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers soundtrack.

I would also like to share the epicness that is my five favourite dwarves from the film -

Thanks for coming, seeeyaaaaaa

Ben Cantelon

Earlier this year my oldest brother gave my youngest brother (who is still older than me :( ) a CD by this dude called Ben Cantelon called Everything in Colour. I liked it, but I wasn't ecstatic about it. Recently I listened to it again, and man it's awesome. The lyrics are amazing!! Ben's voice is in the right range for me to sing it!! I hadn't heard of him until this year, and it turns out I know a fair few of his songs anyway. Songs like Saviour of the World and he co-wrote Tim Hughes' Happy Day. He released Everything in Colour earlier this year. Here are my two favourite tracks from the album:

Everything in Colour

Guardian

Thanks :) Check those songs out.

Cue epic rant

You guys may or may not know that I was at a MASSIVE youth camp this year, which for kindness reasons will be left unnamed.

The music was awesome while we there there. Really really amazing. The whole camp was awesome!!

This camp is so enormous they release a CD of some of the songs they had. I was really looking forward to listening to it and reliving the camp (well, not exactly reliving, more remembering). We turned it on, and we could instantly tell something was wrong.

The editing.

The editing was awful. So awful it could make an amazing natural voice sound so fake. It didn't sound live!

The American worship leader was worst off. His voice was amazing there. He sounds nothing like he actually does on the CD.

At least the keyboard player with probably the most impressive voice (he sounds sooooo amazing!! O.O) was exactly as he sounded, but everyone else...

Sorry I've been gone awhile,

To make up for it I've brother something to make you smile.
To smile at the music you hear,
From your speakers (or headphones) into your ear.

I've been away on holiday for a week in Yorkshire,
In Draughton, Skipton's solitary corner.
Whilst there we saw the Bond film Skyfall,
Which is a great film, you must watch it all.

Here are some Bond things I shall share,
I'm sure you hear Adele everywhere.
I didn't like her until the other day,
So this is what I have to say.

Click the link to hear Skyfall,
You must listen to it all.
Adele sings it very well indeed,
And in the charts it really takes the lead.

There are other songs I want to share.
Of Mumford & Sons are you aware?
I've been listening to them recently,
And I really really like them you see.

The first "M&S" song I like is "The Cave",
The lyrics are strange and a little bit grave.
The second is called "Babel",
I give both songs a quality label.

A song by Jason Mraz to end this post.
Of all his songs, I think I like this one the most.
It's called "The Remedy."
I feel another post coming - I'll do it when I'm ready.

Greetings from me, your friend Pippin.

Farewell.

Teardrop - Massive Attack

Paradise Circus - Massive Attack (lyrics are weird. I mostly love the instrumental at the end. It's amazing!!!)

I'm Yours - Jason Mraz

Stand By Me - Oasis

Viva La Vida - Coldplay

Ciao :)

One small step....

I've been camping in the middle of nowhere so I only just found out that Neil Armstrong died. I don't know why this effected me so much that I decided to blog about it, but hey.

I've posted it before but I mainly found out about it because of one of the comments, but hey.

Probably posted this too,

I'm gonna post more music in just a minute :)

Aurora

Hey guys, I'm back.
As you know, The Dark Knight Rises was aired on the 20th.
I would like to post a tribute to the victims of the Aurora shooting, and to the friends of families of those who died in the dreadful act.

The first was composed by soundtrack artist Hans Zimmer, who wrote the score for The Dark Knight Rises. The following track isn't my favourite type of music, but it fits the circumstances, and it was brilliant of Hans to write this for the people. What I loved about it is that it's a choral version of some of the Batman soundtrack!!!!!!!!!!!! It's wonderful! Warning: it's over eight minutes long.

Another thing, if you're in the US, you can donate to the Aurora Victim Relief organisation.

You can also buy this on iTunes. All proceeds to the Aurora Victim Relief organisation.

Aurora - Hans Zimmer

And now three pieces of The Dark Knight Rises soundtrack itself.

Nothing Out There

Why Do We Fall?

Rise (warning: this one doesn't begin nice and quiet, but there is a certain part of it that is very fitting. I also thing that the people of Aurora are going to Rise after this fall.) Listen from 0:57 onwards. It's perfect.

Thank you for coping with this serious post.
